In these times of rapid transformation, reconnecting with yourself and the Earth becomes essential. The Hopi teachings offer a path of grounding, wisdom, and right relationship with life.

We are at the end of a year, that suspended moment between what is ending and what is about to be born. December naturally invites reflection, review, and the setting of intentions for the coming year. In recent years, something deeper has been felt in the air—a quiet urgency, a silent call. A collective need for meaning, grounding, and reconnection with something greater than ourselves. The world is changing at a dizzying pace. Landmarks fade, certainties waver, and many of us feel lost, disconnected, searching for an inner compass.
It is in this context that I write today about the Hopi teachings—not to offer a miraculous solution, but to share what has profoundly transformed me and what I observe in those who receive the Hopi teachings: a path back to oneself, to the Earth, to what truly matters.
In January 2026, I will begin a new annual cycle of teachings. I would like to share why I believe these ancient wisdoms are more necessary than ever, and what they can bring to you during this period of transition.
What the Hopi teachings have brought me personally
I remember my first encounter with the Hopi teachings. It came after years of exploration in various ancestral traditions—the Amazon, the Philippines, the Andes. I had already undergone deep transformations, but something inside me was still seeking. When Grandmother Medicine Song and Satya shared these wisdoms with me and granted me the sacred right to teach them, I realized I had found my spiritual home.
These teachings are not abstract philosophy. They are a way of being in the world, a daily practice. The principle of Living in Right Relationship has become my compass. The Hopi have a word for the opposite of this state of harmony: Koyaanisqatsi, meaning “life out of balance,” “chaotic life,” “life in disintegration.” This concept profoundly impacted me because it names precisely what so many of us feel in the modern world.
Every day, I ask myself: Am I in balance within myself and around me? If not, where is the imbalance so I can harmonize it? Am I living in alignment with my deepest values? Why do I feel gratitude today?
What has transformed me the most is how these teachings have grounded me in difficult moments. When the external world becomes chaotic, when challenges accumulate, I return to the teachings. The 20 Sacred Signs remind me that I am part of a larger cosmic matrix. The Medicine Wheel guides me through cycles of transformation. The 13 Grandmothers share their wisdom through ancestral stories, teaching patience and the qualities of the feminine as they unfold with lunar cycles. The Way of Women goes further: it grounds me in my body through the study of Kachinas and their meditations, awakening in me the raw, vibrant power of the sacred feminine.
This knowledge did not come to me as intellectual concepts. It became embodied—in my body, my life, and my worldview. It taught me to slow down, to listen, and to respect the long time of transformation. It is this embodiment that I wish to share in turn.
Transformations observed in those who receive the Hopi teachings
Since I began teaching, I have witnessed something profound. These are not spectacular or instantaneous changes, but transformations that touch the being as a whole.
Some people tell me that these teachings have supported them in their darkest moments, like a light in the night. Others discover ancient doors opening within themselves—their vibrational centers realign, their strengths gather, as if they are finally finding a wholeness they have long sought.
Women, in particular, speak of a powerful reconnection with their inner source, their essential values, and the simple beauty of life. Month after month, in rhythm with the moons, they explore territories of themselves they had forgotten or repressed. Their feminine awakens, their creativity blooms, and their connection to the Earth and its cycles is renewed.
Men find in these circles a sacred space where they can finally rest, find their rightful place in the web of life—among other species, nature, and invisible worlds. They stop struggling and enter into relationship.
What moves me most is seeing their consciousness awaken gradually. They expand their perception of life, regain their center, and free themselves from emotional wounds sometimes carried since childhood. The power of gratitude and forgiveness ceases to be a concept and becomes a lived reality. They draw closer to their life purpose, to that unique zone of creativity that belongs only to them.
They learn to listen to their intuition rather than the noise of the world, to honor their deep needs rather than external expectations, to respect their natural cycles rather than exhaust themselves in performance. They move from frenzy to a sacred, slower, more just rhythm—a time in which one can finally breathe.
And then there is the circle. Every month, when we meet, even through a screen, something magical happens. Oral transmission creates intimacy and presence that neither books nor videos can offer. We are not just individuals following a teaching—we become a spiritual family, a community that supports each other in transformation.
There is a fundamental difference between knowing something intellectually and embodying wisdom. Hopi teachings do not merely give you information to store in your mind. They transform you from within, like water shaping stone. They awaken ancient memories and activate sacred codes you carried within you without knowing it. It is an alchemical process that requires time, commitment, and above all, humility before the mystery unfolding.

The power of a living Hopi lineage
I believe the answer lies in something subtle yet powerful: these teachings are energetically carried by a lineage. And this is probably what makes all the difference.
This wisdom did not come from books I had studied or courses I had taken. It was transmitted directly to me, heart to heart, word of mouth, by Grandmother Medicine Song and Satya, in the sacred respect of Hopi oral tradition. Grandmother Medicine Song herself received these teachings from her grandmother and from Chief Dan, who received them from their own masters, in an unbroken chain stretching back to the origins of the Hopi people.
This lineage is not just a list of names in history. It is alive. It pulses like a heart. It supports like an invisible hand on your shoulder.
When you receive these teachings, you do not just learn concepts or practices. You are connected to an ancestral force that has guided, protected, and nurtured entire generations through centuries and trials. You enter a spiritual current—a river flowing from the source—that carries, nourishes, and protects you.
It is this energetic and spiritual dimension, invisible yet tangible, that truly transforms. It operates at levels far deeper than intellect alone could ever reach. It is the difference between reading a musical score and hearing the orchestra play.
Why these teachings NOW
We are living in a unique moment in human history. The world is changing at a speed our ancestors could never have imagined. Technology advances, social structures shift, crises follow one another. Amidst all this, many of us feel uprooted, lost, anxious about the future.
The Hopi have a word for exactly what we collectively experience: Koyaanisqatsi. This profound concept denotes “life out of balance,” “chaotic life,” a disintegrating world where we have lost our right relationship with ourselves, others, and the Earth. Is this not precisely what we feel? The constant acceleration, disconnection from nature, the endless race that leaves us exhausted and empty?
Koyaanisqatsi is not inevitable. It is a diagnosis. And Hopi teachings are the remedy—not a quick fix, but a patient path back to balance, back to Right Relationship.
It is precisely in times of upheaval that ancestral wisdom becomes essential. Hopi teachings have endured for millennia. They have guided a people through countless transformations, crises, and rebirths. This wisdom has been tested, refined, and carries a stability and truth independent of trends or external changes.
Modern life imposes a linear, productivity-driven pace that ignores natural cycles. We are expected to perform at the same level year-round, disregarding seasons, lunar phases, and our own internal rhythms. It is exhausting and unsustainable. Hopi teachings remind us that we are cyclical beings who need time to plant, grow, harvest, and also to rest.
Reconnecting with these natural cycles is a form of spiritual resistance. It is saying “no” to constant acceleration and “yes” to the right rhythm of life. It honors our deepest humanity instead of trying to become machines.
I also see that we live in an era where isolation has become endemic. We are hyper-connected digitally, yet profoundly disconnected as humans. Community, the circle, the tribe—ancestral structures that have always supported human beings—have eroded. Hopi teachings offer something precious: a sacred space for communion, sharing, and mutual support. By committing to a 12-month circle, you do not just receive knowledge—you integrate into a community.
Finally, I see a profound imbalance between the masculine and feminine around us. Society has long favored masculine qualities—action, conquest, control—while forgetting the wisdom of the feminine: receptivity, intuition, connection with life cycles. Hopi teachings, particularly the Way of Women and the 13 Grandmothers, offer women a path to reconnect with their sacred power. And the 20 Sacred Signs invite men to embody the divine in matter, finding their own form of sacred.
Receiving a spiritual teaching vs. consuming spirituality
There is something important I want to share. In our modern world, we tend to consume everything, including spirituality. We attend workshops here and there, read a book, listen to a podcast. We collect experiences without truly engaging in deep transformation.
Receiving a teaching is different. It means entering a long-term relationship with wisdom, with a lineage, with a community. It is saying “yes” not to a single experience, but to a path of transformation that will accompany you throughout the year.
In oral transmission traditions, there is profound respect for the teachings and the elders who convey them. Receiving this knowledge implies responsibility: listening with respect, embodying what you learn, preserving the integrity of the wisdom. It is not a consumerist approach where you take what suits you and leave the rest. It is a sacred commitment.
A 12-month commitment is itself an act of fidelity to yourself. It is saying: “I give myself the time for transformation. I do not seek instant solutions. I accept the rhythm of the seasons, the lunar cycles, and the long time necessary for these teachings to embody within me.”
In a world obsessed with immediacy, quick results, and hacks that promise instant change, committing to the long path is a return to Right Relationship with oneself. It is choosing depth over surface, authentic transformation over cosmetic change.
