WHO AM I?

Lorraine Glatigny: Guardian of the Hopi Teachings in France

I am Lorraine Glatigny, a teacher of traditional Indigenous spiritual traditions and the founder of La Voie des Hopis. My path is that of a messenger of ancient wisdom, dedicated to the transmission of traditional Indigenous teachings and holistic healing.

A journey of exploration and transformation

My path began in the artistic world. As an actress, theater teacher, and documentary filmmaker, I first studied theatrical anthropology and anthropological documentary, exploring the fascinating links between performance, culture, and spirituality. This training taught me that the healer—like "the sacred actor" according to Grotowski—is a mediator between the visible and the invisible, in connection with another realm.

In 2008, my encounter with traditional healers in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest marked a radical turning point in my life. This transformative experience led me to embrace a rich and varied path of healing and spiritual learning.

A deep immersion in ancestral traditions

My apprenticeship has taken me to the four corners of the world:

In the Philippines (2010): I devoted several months to immersing myself in the ancestral practices of traditional Filipino healers, learning the art of Hilot, a deep therapeutic massage. In 2013, I lived among the Tao’t Batu, an isolated tribe, where my recognition as a healer was validated by the community itself.

In the Amazon (2010): I undertook a full year of apprenticeship diet (dieta), following the Shipibo tradition—an intense experience of connection with medicinal plants and the spirits of the forest.

In the Peruvian Andes (2012–2015): I immersed myself in the practices of the Qeros, the last descendants of the Incas, discovering their sacred rituals and their intimate relationship with the mountains and with Mother Earth, Pachamama.

Guardian of the Hopi Teachings

Since 2015, I have been leading healing ceremonies for groups and individuals, working closely with medicinal plantsand the drum to facilitate both physical and spiritual healing.

Grandmother Medicine Song and Satya granted me the sacred right to teach the Hopi traditions, making me one of the few guardians of these teachings in France. I transmit this ancestral knowledge with the deepest respect for the oral tradition, as it has been preserved for millennia by the Hopi people, one of the oldest Native American nations in North America.

My mission: transmitting Hopi wisdom

The Hopi philosophy rests on a fundamental principle: “Living in Right Relationship.”
For the Hopi, living in Right Relationship means respecting oneself, honoring Mother Earth, and all beings within the Web of Life. It is about living a virtuous life, in harmony with nature and with others.

This age-old wisdom has deeply transformed me, and I now dedicate my life to sharing it with those who seek to reconnect with their inner essence and to find harmony in a modern world that is often unbalanced.

My philosophy of transmission

As Lorraine Glatigny, my approach is deeply rooted in respect for oral tradition. I do not consider myself the creator of new methods, but rather a guardian and a messenger. My role is to preserve the integrity of the teachings as they were transmitted to me, while making them accessible to our contemporary time.

In oral traditions, there is a profound respect for the teachings and for the elders who carry them. I honor this responsibility by inviting those who receive this knowledge to show respect, deep listening, and gratitude, and to take in turn the responsibility to preserve and transmit this wisdom to future generations.

My practice is structured around three fundamental pillars:

  • the teaching of Hopi wisdom,

  • healing through sound and plants,

  • and the creation of sacred spaces where each person can reconnect with their essence.

I work both in individual sessions and in collective circles, because I believe that healing happens both in the intimacy of personal growth and in the strength of the collective.

How to meet me

I offer my teachings and healing sessions both in person and online, making this wisdom accessible to everyone, wherever you may be. I also lead workshops at the Yoga With You studio in Le Bouscat, near Bordeaux.

If you feel called by Hopi wisdom, if you seek to reconnect with your true essence and to live in Right Relationship with yourself and the world around you, I would be honored to accompany you on this path of transformation.
